Busy Time

Why We Keep Putting Things Off (and Blaming It on ‘Busy’)

“I’ll start tomorrow,” we say with our big plans and dreams. Tomorrow, we promise, will be the day we change everything. we are all charged up and just then, reality hits… Netflix, naps, or random distractions and suddenly, it’s 3 a.m., and that “start tomorrow” is officially a “start next week.” Maybe, just maybe, after one more episode. Then boom… it’s already evening, or worse, morning. And now, you’ve got an important meeting or an overslept day ahead, and you’re thinking, “Well, this is my destiny for the next 24 hours.”

Sound familiar? Yep, this is the new normal in many households.

Time management? Forget it.

Now, it’s all about what work lets us do, not what we want to do. And let’s be honest, that’s not ideal. But hey, who am I to judge? We’re all in this crazy ride of time-wasting together. Sure, some of you might not like what I’m saying, but deep down, I’m sure you know it’s true. Eventually, one day you’ll realize that time has passed, and you’ll wish you had figured out a better way to hack it. Just saying.

Here’s the thing to share, as we grow, the pressure to handle things increases. But, it’s not pressure; it’s just life. You know, responsibilities, deadlines, errands that somehow keep multiplying like rabbits. We see it coming, yet we get lost in the drama of stress, pretending we’re too busy to do anything else. But are we really too busy? Or are we just hypnotized by the chaos? And here’s where the humor comes in, guess what? We’re all just puppets, caught up in a never-ending loop of “too busy” without really questioning it. Our stress becomes this comforting little blanket we wrap ourselves in. We complain, but deep down, we kind of love it. It’s familiar. It’s easy. So, we just go with it, right?

But maybe it’s time to hit the pause button. Maybe it’s time to stop letting the “busy” agenda run our lives and actually take control. So, what’s the hack to handling this madness? It’s simple, embrace the chaos, laugh at the nonsense, and just take it one thing at a time with a plan and sincerity. You’ll figure it out. Just don’t forget to enjoy the stress… after one more episode, of course!!
